Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend was a lot of fun.
Of course for me, spending time with my family is always fun.

Saturday morning Kinsley and I woke up at 6:30 and we got ready to meet Daddy for breakfast. Daddy was very excited to see his girls after a 12 hour shift. Going out to eat is actually fun right now with a 5 month old. Kins is able to sit in a high chair and as long as you are feeding her or she has a toy she is good to go. We are so blessed to have such a great baby!!

So Sunday was an eventfull day. We packed up and headed to Grammys for a Memorial Day cookout and some fun in the sun!! I'm so glad Kinsley loves the water. She was out in the pool for about an hour and then had to sit out and relax with Grammy in the swing. This gave mommy time to lay out and work on her tan and of course gave daddy time to pester mommy. Splashing, dunking... you name it! I will say, that I did get about an hour of pure sun and pool time all to myself when Kins was napping and daddy was snacking. Haha!

Memorial Day was also a very enjoyable day. We went to my parents house for a hamburgers, hotdogs and homemade ice cream! Nothing better than ice cream on such a HOT DAY!
My child figured out that she can really sit up now! If she is laying on her back she lifts up like she is doing crunches to try and sit herself up. If you give her a little help then she sits up like a big girl! I cant believe it! Kinsley and Aunt Heather really perfected this talent in the living room floor as everybody else was trying not to fall asleep since we were so full. Needless to say we left my parents and went home to take a nap. A great nap in deed!

We had such nice relaxing fun filled weekend! Thank you to all our veterans and service men for serving our country and giving us the freedom to spend this special time with our family. We will forever honor you!

Have a blessed Day!
Laura
