The last two weeks have been very eventful. We went to Connor's 1st Birthday Party and Amanda's 26th Birthday Dinner Party. We also celebrated Kinsley's 1st July 4th!
Kinsley's new friend Connor invited her to his Barnyard Party. There were kids of all ages there.
They had a wagon full of hay, a saddle for the cow boys and cow girls to sit on, pin the tail on the pony, and Connor even had is very own Vegetable Patch. All the kids, including Kinsley, sat at a table and planted their vegetables. I am sad to report that 2 weeks later we have not had any sprouts from our squash plant. Sorry Kinsley, Mommy doesn't have a green thumb. Here are some pictures from the Barnyard Party.
The next weekend we celebrated Amanda's 26th Birthday at Outback. Amanda started the night with a Birthday Cake shot. Its always nice when you can get together with good friends and family. Her brother Paul is stationed in Germany and he was in town for Amanda's special day. I think having him and her nieces and nephew here made it all the more special. I think she really enjoyed her dinner party.
4th of July was very exciting being that this was Kinsley's first fourth. We celebrated first by going to Frisco Town Square on Saturday night. They put on a great show. We sat in the back of MJ's truck on the top floor of the parking garage. The view was absolutely perfect. The sound of the fireworks didn't even phase Kinsley but the bright sparkling colors sure got her attention. She just sat there and watched them go off. I think she was pretty mesmerised by them.
Sunday we went to Rockwall for more 4th of July festivities. Jody and I went to get fireworks for everybody to shoot off and he was seriously a kid in a candy store. I really think the 4th is his favorite holiday. He loves this kind of stuff. I on the other hand look at all these boxes of fireworks and have no clue what any of them do. We had a great cook out thanks to Chef Glen and some very tasty adult beverages. The Blalock brothers put on an excellent fireworks show for the entire family. We have done this the past two years and I'm really excited it's becoming a tradition. We look forward to this family get together all year. Kinsley did really good with this round of fireworks but they definitely startled her. Black cats would go off and she wouldn't even notice the first couple of crack cracks and then she would startle and then go back to playing. It was super cute and I couldn't help but laugh. Needless to say we had a great 4th of July weekend! Happy Independence Day!
